Social and Economic Impact Report – University of Salford

The University of Salford’s role in the city and the wider region, in terms of its economic contribution and social impact, is an important part of its values and identity. An assessment of value generated by the University of Salford was conducted by Viewforth Consulting to explore the economic, social, cultural, and environmental impact made to the city and the wider region.

External engagement and partnership working is embedded across the University, in all aspects of operations – these partnerships define the unique contribution and role that the University plays in the region, and align with the University strategy which has collaboration at its core. The Industry Collaboration Zones (ICZs) strategy focuses on creating a 21st century version of its heritage – further strengthening and increasing support for collaboration with local business, industry and public sector partners.
