Building strong and resilient communities in Salford is more important than ever in the face of the cost-of-living crisis, climate change, food insecurity and a reduction of mental wellbeing across the city.

Improving the wellbeing of local residents – providing opportunities for them to connect with others, be physically active, learn new skills, give to others and be mindfu

What you can do

Develop and employer supported volunteering scheme – this is where staff donate time and skills during their working hours to support local communities or tackle local issues.  These schemes have been proven to increase employee engagement, job satisfaction, retention and provide learning and development opportunities. Hold a social event for older people to combat isolation.

Facilitate mental health and wellbeing sessions for your employees these may include midday walks, bike rides or art therapy sessions

Partner with other organisations to host a community event for residents
