Recycle Café at Incredible Education CIC
Incredible Education are successfully leading a project in partnership with Recycle for Greater Manchester (GM), creating a Recycle Café and wood recycling workshops at the Cleaveley Community Forest Garden. These activities take place on the last Saturday of each month and provide a space for residents to learn how to reuse waste materials creatively.
The initiative aims to reduce waste and promote sustainability within the local community by offering hands-on opportunities to recycle wood and repair broken items.
This project has had a significant impact on local residents and the environment by encouraging people to repurpose waste materials and reduce landfill contributions. Local participants have been able to create household and garden items out of reclaimed wood, while the Repair Café—staffed entirely by volunteers—has facilitated the fixing of various items like bicycles, small electrical appliances, and clothing. These activities not only save money for residents but also contribute to reducing the overall environmental footprint in the community.
